Hospitality & Tourism Management Program

Delivering the essence of service for the St. Augustine Spanish Wine Festival

Flagler College Hospitality & Tourism Management Program

The St. Augustine Spanish Food & Wine Festival goes beyond being a mere wine and culinary delight for participants across the world to enjoy, it also provides Flagler College's Hospitality & Tourism Management Program students with an incredible experiential learning opportunity as they design, plan and execute every aspect of the event. In addition, 100% of festival proceeds are invested in the education of hospitality students through academic scholarships, transformative study-abroad experiences, and valuable professional development opportunities, trainings and certifications.

The funds raised from this event are vital to student growth as they will allow students to engage in professional development that may otherwise be out of reach due to cost.
— David Rivera, Director of the Hospitality & Tourism Management Program

In addition to being a financial benefactor, Flagler College Hospitality & Tourism Management students receive real world experience by planning, organizing, executing and facilitating this years festival under the leadership of locally renowned chefs, restaurant owners, hotel and business owners, industry professionals and Director of the Hospitality & Tourism Management Program, David Rivera.

Students participating in the festival learn to bridge the gap between classroom learning objectives and industry execution
